NYK 115, CHI 107: Porzingis Shines in Chicago

On the first night of a home-and-home against the Bulls, the Knicks put together one of their best offensive performances of the season in Chicago. Kristaps Porzingis tied a career high with 29 points, helping to erase an early deficit as New York caught fire from downtown to steal a 115-107 victory.

"KP carried us tonight," said Carmelo Anthony, who pitched in 24 points, including three 3s in the pivotal third quarter. The Knicks would reel off a 21-7 run, opening up a 22-point cushion as their stars took a breather to start the fourth.

Nikola Mirotic (35 points, 9-for-13 from 3) fueled a late comeback, but the Bulls got no closer than eight, as New York's 3-point shooting proved too much to overcome; Kurt Rambis' squad would finish 14-for-25 from downtown.

Knick of the Night

Porzingis was unstoppable from start to finish, carrying the offense early and shooting 11-for-16 on the night. A few foul calls that could've gone either way, the looming back-to-back and the comfortable victory were the only things keeping him from a new career high in scoring. He also pulled down 10 rebounds.
