Kristaps Porzingis to participate in Skills Challenge

New York Knicks forward Kristaps Porzingis has committed to participate in the Skills Challenge at All-Star Weekend in New Orleans, league sources told The Vertical.
Porzingis, who is listed at 7-foot-3, will be vying to become the tallest winner in the history of the competition, which began in 2003. Minnesota Timberwolves 7-footer Karl Anthony-Towns won the event last year.
The NBA on Thursday night will announce the participants for the All-Star Three-Point Contest, Skills Challenge and Slam Dunk Contest, which take place Feb. 18. Golden State Warriors All-Star Stephen Curry has passed on the Three-Point Contest this year, but Toronto Raptors All-Star Kyle Lowry has committed to participate, sources told The Vertical.
